Tours & Activities User Guide

Overview

The Tours & Activities page lets you browse and explore experiences from the Tiqets catalog. You can search by country and city, filter by category tags, and view detailed product options with pricing.

Accessing Tours & Activities

  1. Log in to the TQPro Admin interface
  2. Click Products in the top navigation bar
  3. Select Tours & Activities from the dropdown menu

Browsing Experiences

Step 1: Select a Country

Choose a country from the Country dropdown. The list includes all countries where Tiqets has enabled experiences.

Step 2: Select a City

After selecting a country, the City dropdown populates with available cities. Select a city to load experiences.

Experience cards appear in a grid, sorted by rating (highest first). Each card shows: - A cover image - The experience title and short description - Star rating and number of reviews - Starting price (or "Check availability" if pricing is not set)

Step 3: Filter Results (Optional)

By category tag: Click a tag chip below the search bar (e.g., "Museums", "Walking Tours", "Theme Parks"). Click the same tag again or click "All" to remove the filter. Tags shown are only those that match the current city's experiences.

By name: Type in the Search field to filter experiences by title in real time.

Both filters can be combined — tag filtering applies first, then text search.

Step 4: View Experience Details

Click any experience card to open a detail modal showing: - A large hero image with the experience title - A description of the experience - Available products — different ticket types or packages for this experience

Each product card shows: - Product image and name - A brief description - Rating (if available) - Price — discounted prices show the original price struck through with the new price highlighted

Step 5: Take Action

Each product offers two buttons:

Book Now Opens the Tiqets product page in a new browser tab for direct booking
Add to Cart Placeholder for future cart integration (shows a notification)

Tips

  • No experiences showing? Make sure both country and city are selected. Some cities may have few or no enabled experiences.
  • Tags disappeared? The tag strip only shows categories that exist in the current city's results. Selecting a different city may show different tags.
  • Price says "Check availability"? The provider hasn't set a starting price for this experience. Click the card to see if individual products have pricing.
  • Discounted prices appear with the original price crossed out and the new price in red.

Booking Lifecycle Integration

Activities can be added to bookings for integrated pricing, payment, and lifecycle tracking.

Adding Activities to Bookings

Via Shopping Cart: 1. Browse and select an activity 2. Click Add to Cart 3. Continue adding other services (hotels, flights, transfers) 4. Click Checkout to create a booking with all items as service lines

Direct to Booking: 1. Browse and select an activity 2. Click Add to Booking (if available) 3. Select an existing booking or create a new one 4. The activity is added as an ACTIVITY service line

Activity Service Lines

In the booking, activities appear as ACTIVITY service lines with: - Description: activity name and provider - Dates: activity date - Cost: supplier cost - Sell Price: customer price (cost + margin) - Quantity: number of participants - Status: PENDING until confirmed with supplier

Pricing

Each activity has a cost (what you pay the supplier) and a sell price (what the customer pays). When added to a booking, both are captured for margin tracking. Currency conversion is applied automatically if the booking uses a different currency.
