Flight Search User Guide

Overview

The Flight Search page lets you search for available flights across supported providers, compare prices and schedules, and view flight details. It supports both one-way and round-trip searches with flexible passenger and cabin class options.

Who Should Use This Guide

  1. Log in to the TQPro Admin interface
  2. Click Products in the top navigation bar
  3. Select Flights from the dropdown menu

Searching for Flights

  1. Type the origin airport name in the Origin Airport field — an autocomplete dropdown will appear with matching airports and their IATA codes
  2. Select the origin airport from the dropdown
  3. Repeat for the Destination Airport field
  4. Select a Departure date
  5. Adjust passenger counts if needed:
  6. Adults (default: 2)
  7. Children (default: 0)
  8. Infants (default: 0)
  9. Optionally change the Cabin Class (default: Economy)
  10. Optionally change the Currency (default: local currency from system config)
  11. Click Search Flights

Results appear in a table showing airline, route, departure/arrival times, duration, number of stops, and price.

  1. Follow the same steps as a one-way search, but also fill in the Return date
  2. The trip type badge will automatically switch to "Round Trip"
  3. Click Search Flights — outbound flight results appear
  4. Click Select Outbound on your preferred outbound flight
  5. The system searches for return flights — a blue banner at the top shows your selected outbound
  6. Browse return flights and click Add to Cart on your preferred return option
  7. To change your outbound selection, click the Change link in the blue banner
  • The results header shows the total number of flights found
  • Use the Previous and Next buttons to page through results (10 per page)
  • Click Clear to reset the search form

Understanding the Results

Column Description
Airline Airline logo, carrier code, and flight number
Route Origin → Destination airport codes
Departure Departure time and date
Arrival Arrival time and date
Duration Total flight duration
Stops "Direct" or number of stops
Price Total price in selected currency, or "N/A" if pricing is unavailable
Action Add to Cart, Select Outbound, or disabled if price unavailable

Notes

  • Price "N/A": Some flights may show "N/A" for pricing when the provider doesn't have a confirmed price. These flights cannot be added to the cart.
  • Currency: The currency selector is populated from the system's configured quotation currencies. Changing it affects the search request sent to the provider.
  • Cart: The "Add to Cart" feature is a placeholder for future cart integration.

Booking Lifecycle Integration

Flight search results can be converted into bookings or added to the shopping cart for checkout.

From Search Results to Booking

  1. Complete your flight search (route, dates, passengers, class)
  2. Review results (price, airline, times, stops, baggage)
  3. Click Select on your preferred flight
  4. Choose:
  5. Add to Cart: Stage the flight for checkout with other services
  6. Add to Booking: Add directly to an existing booking

Flight Service Lines

When a flight is added to a booking:

Status PENDING until ticketed

Shopping Cart Integration

Flights can be combined with hotels, activities, and transfers in the shopping cart. Checkout creates a single booking with all items as service lines, giving the customer one invoice and one payment.
